How's it going? Today, I've been experiencing the joys of online job applications. All the little boxes that split your resume into pieces of plain text, that never hang quite right, like hand me down clothes.
All of your files will be archived somewhere on the internet, it's just that you will never be able to find them.
It was too melodramatic.
It could've been a 30 minute movie.

subject: Greetings from Winter Vacation
How are you doing? Did you get to eat a lot of Christmas cookies? Uf, I did...
Life is treating me well and I am enjoying the days in Berlin with my family and looking forward to coming back in February. Until then, I have to work as hard as I can, so that the study abroad experience in Madrid will turn out a fruitful one.
Last night, by the way, I went with my sister to a restaurant run partly by blind people. The thing is...it is totally dark inside the restaurant. You cannot see anything. You are sitting there awaiting your food not knowing what you are eating. Pretty scary. It made us pretty anxious not being able to see... You cannot imagine the dark that engulfed us. You depend totally on the blind person that serves you, bringing you the food, telling you where things on the table are, guiding you throughout the room. We couldn't really enjoy the food and at very first, could not taste exactly what it was.
Well, those things one can experience in Berlin.
Take care, friend. I hope you find a lot of good reasons to enjoy this year.
The knob on my lamp needed to be replaced. It stutters when I twist it.
So, the person at the hardware store said to connect the red wire to the gold screw and the black to silver. Warm and cold colors.
I can do that.
The only problem was that. when I opened it up. there was
Both were black.
Something you really don't want to get your money's worth out of.
I always thought I'd be shredding my way through the jungle
and I think it would be fun
and I could deal with the humidity and sweat and slime
me and my machete
I wouldn't research it. I'd just hope what I ate wasn't poisonous.
even though it's not funny.
The instant win game piece could not be instantly claimed.
The instructions told me to send in the "winning" game wrapper, recommended "sending prize claims via a traceable form of delivery..." and to "keep a photocopy for your records."
It also said that "all prizes are subject to verification".
Counterfeit winning wrappers must be running rampant these days. Very lucrative- I could see that.
No mention of when I'd get the prize. 4-6 weeks later?
"See Full Rules for complete details." I guess that's where they tell you that "taxes, when applicable are the sole responsibility of the winner"...
39¢ for postage, $2.40 for certified mail and 7¢ for a copy
I want that 69¢ candy bar. I'm a winner.
